REMEMBERING 62 Years Ago TODAY: "The Day The Music Died"

It was 62 years ago TODAY, February 3, 1959, that Buddy Holly, "The Big Bopper"(J.P. Richardson) and Richie Valens were all killed in a plane crash in an Iowa cornfield. The tragedy has become known as "The Day The Music Died", after Don McLean immortalized them all in his 1971 hit song "American Pie".
