(Undated) -- Kevin Rowland of Dexy's Midnight Runners covered Bruce Springsteen's "Thunder Road" in 1999. However, it was never released because of a paperwork issue. Rowland tells Uncut magazine that his version was recorded for his album "My Beauty," but had to be left off because his manager's request to The Boss never reached him. Rowland learned a few years later that Springsteen liked it. "I think his word was that it was 'neat.'" The "Come On, Eileen," singer says he's "thrilled that it's finally coming out with his blessing, because the first version of the album felt like there was a piece missing from the jigsaw."
