Food Bank Drive-Up Distributions: Today In Duquesne, Tuesday In Butler!


WHAT: Drive-Up Food Distribution

WHEN: Monday, June 22 (noon – 2 p.m.)

WHERE: Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank; 1 N Linden Street, Duquesne, PA 15110

Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will be hosting a Drive-Up Food Distribution on Monday, June 22 from noon to 2 p.m.Drive-up service will be discontinued at that time.The event is part of the Food Bank’s new drive-up distribution model.Each vehicle will receive one food share (at least 50 pounds of food) per vehicle.Due to the high demand for assistance, to ensure as many people receive food as possible, we must adhere to this policy.The Food Bank will be able to serve up to 500 vehicles at this distribution.For additional food, please contact your local food pantry or contact the Food Bank for information about how to find a pantry near you. You can find a pantry by using the “locator” tab on our website.

For the safety of the staff and volunteers working to set-up the event, those attending the event areasked to arrive no earlier than when the event starts at noon.Those who arrive prior to noon may be asked to return at that time.The distribution will end promptly at 2 p.m.Drive-up service will be discontinued at that time.

The Food Bank is asking individuals to follow these guidelines:

  • For everyone’s safety, individuals attending the distribution must stay in their vehicles at all times. This will help us maintain six-foot social distancing guidelines. Leaving cars to socialize is strictly prohibited.
  • After pulling into “distribution row”, please put your vehicle in park and unlock your trunk or backseat for food to be loaded. Volunteers will not load food into vehicles until they are in park. Please stay in your vehicle.
  • Attendees will not be required to fill out a registration form in order to receive food.

WHEN: Tuesday, June 23 (11 a.m. – 1 p.m.)

WHERE: Big Butler Fairgrounds; 1127 New Castle Road, Prospect, PA 16052

In conjunction with Alliance for Nonprofit Resources and The Big Butler Fair, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will be hosting a Drive-Up Food Distribution on Tuesday, June 23 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.Drive-up service will be discontinued at that time.The event is part of the Food Bank’s new drive-up distribution model.Each vehicle will receive one food share (at least 50 pounds of food) per vehicle.Due to the high demand for assistance, to ensure as many people receive food as possible, we must adhere to this policy.The Food Bank will be able to serve up to 700 vehicles at this distribution.For additional food, please contact your local food pantry or contact the Food Bank for information about how to find a pantry near you. In conjunction with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, Highmark Stadium and Pittsburgh City Council, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will be hosting a Drive-Up Food Distribution on Thursday, June 25 from 10 a.m. to noon.Drive-up service will be discontinued at that time.The event is part of the Food Bank’s new drive-up distribution model.Each vehicle will receive one food share (at least 50 pounds of food) per vehicle.Due to the high demand for assistance, to ensure as many people receive food as possible, we must adhere to this policy.The Food Bank will be able to serve up to 400 vehicles at this distribution.For additional food, please contact your local food pantry or contact the Food Bank for information about how to find a pantry near you.
