Bruce originally wrote "I'll Stand By You Always" 20 years ago after being inspired by the Harry Potter books he was reading to his kids.. He recorded it in 2001, in hopes of it being used in a Harry Potter film, but J.K. Rowling's contract specified that no commercial songs could be on the soundtracks. Fortunately, it's made it's way onto the 'Blinded By The Light' soundtrack, the movie out now!
