"Layla" Guitar Goes For $1.25 Million At Auction!

(undated) -- The guitar Duane Allman played on the song Layla has sold for over a million dollars at auction. The Gotta Have Rock and Roll auction house says the 1957 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop has sold at auction for 1.25-million dollars. It was Duane Allman's guitar when he was in Derek and the Dominos with Eric Clapton in 1970, and was featured prominently in their classic, Layla. The auctioneers called it one of the most important guitars in the history of rock and roll.
