Taco Bell is turning back the clock by bringing back four menu items from 2016 beginning today, August 20. Here’s the lineup of the Taco Bell Decades #TBTB Menu:
- Naked Chicken Chalupa – An all-white-meat chicken shell filled with lettuce, diced tomatoes, cheddar cheese, and Avocado Ranch Sauce. It was first tested in Kansas City in 2016, and it can be added to the $9 Discovery Luxe Box with a Cheesy Bean and Rice Burrito, Crunchy Taco, Chips & Nacho Cheese Sauce, and a medium fountain drink.
- Beefy Crunch Burrito – Priced at $2.79, it features seasoned beef, Flamin’ Hot Fritos, seasoned rice, reduced-fat sour cream, and nacho cheese sauce. Fans have been asking for the return of this item for years.
- Meximelt – One of the chain’s longtime classics, it’s priced at $2.99 and consists of a soft flour tortilla with seasoned beef, fresh pico de gallo, and a warm three-cheese blend.
- Caramel Apple Empanada – A crisp, golden pastry with warm apple pieces and caramel, priced at $2.99. It has been on and off Taco Bell menus for years.
In addition to the returning menu items, Taco Bell will drop limited-edition collaborations with Anti Social Social Club and screen-free digital camera brand Camp Snap on August 25 as part of its Tuesday Drops program. There’s also an in-app scavenger hunt that runs from August 25 through September 14 for Rewards members, with a new offer each week.
