Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center Presents Memphis The Musical. Tony Award Winning Story of Love, Soul & Rock ‘N Roll comes to Midland, PA July 22-24 & 29-31.
Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center, located in Midland, Pennsylvania, is presenting Memphis The Musical. The show opens Friday, July 22 and runs July 23, 24 and 29-31.
Inspired by actual events, Memphis The Musical is a roof-raising rock 'n roll journey that takes you behind the curtain into the Tennessee nightclubs where a musical movement is born. With an original score written by Bon Jovi keyboardist David Bryan, Memphis The Musical transports audiences to the 1950's South through irresistible songs and a thrilling tale of fame and forbidden love between a white radio DJ who wants to change the world and a black club singer on the verge of her big break. Memphis The Musical ran on Broadway from 2009 to 2012 and won four Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
“Memphis The Musical continues to inspire audiences all over the world with productions having played in The West End, Australia, Japan and Germany,” said Justin Fortunato, Producing Artistic Director of Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center. “This is a company of incredibly talented artists who have been working tirelessly to bring this important story to life.”
