Alice Cooper Among Judges Of New Music Competition Show For Original Bands

A new music competition show is bucking the trend of network TV karaoke by looking for the world's best undiscovered bands with original music.

Hit Parader's upcoming No Cover band competition will be hosted by Kellin Quinn and Caity Babs and it will feature Alice Cooper, Halestorm's Lzzy Hale, Bush's Gavin Rossdale and Animals As Leader's Tosin Abasi and Bishop Briggs as judges.

"I can't wait for No Cover," said Cooper in a statement. "To me, a band really isn't a band unless they are writing their own material, and if you know anything about me you know that I have a very high standard for not only the songs but also the performance. I'm looking for the band who has it all — the one who can not only write it and play it, but perform it and make me BELIEVE it."

The show is in partnership with Hit Parader, Golden Gods producer Josh Bernstein and Sumerian Records and will be filmed at the Troubadour in West Hollywood, California.

Winners of season one will receive a massive prize pack, including a six-figure recording contract with Sumerian, booking agency representation from United Talent Agency, management from Shelter Music Group, festival slots from Danny Wimmer Presents, studio time at Nightbird Recording Studios, new gear from Gibson, brand endorsements, licensing opportunities and more.

Artists can enter to perform live on No Cover here.
