Qatar Has The Most Severe Punishment For Not Wearing A Face Mask
The Middle East has been pummeled by the coronavirus, so it makes sense one country shows it isn’t messing around.
Those in Qatar who don't wear a mask while going outside may face a steep punishment. Interior ministry officials announced on Twitter that citizens could be fined up to 55-thousand dollars and face up to three years in jail for not complying with the mandatory order.
The only exception allowed is for someone driving alone in a vehicle. The total number of coronavirus cases in the small Arab nation sits at more than 30-thousand, although on 15 have died.
