Missouri Is The First State To Sue China Over Coronavirus- One state is taking legal action over COVID-19.
Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt filed the lawsuit against the Chinese government, the Chinese Communist Party, and others alleging Beijing suppressed access to information about the virus and denied its contagious nature.
Schmitt's lawsuit accuses China of being responsible for deaths due to the virus in Missouri along with the economic hit the state and the world is taking.
The scathing documents note, “The Chinese government lied to the world about the danger and contagious nature of COVID-19, silenced whistleblowers, and did little to stop the spread of the disease.”
