A Milwaukee attorney couldn’t go out to dinner to celebrate his birthday on March 19th, but he found a better way to support local restaurants.C.J. Krawczyk started a GoFundMe to raise money for Milwaukee restaurants and people have been happy to give.
He and his wife kicked things off by offering to match the first $4,600 - because he turned 46 this year. And the campaign has brought in donations of nearly $24-thousand so far.
“It's a testament to two things,” the birthday boy said of the fundraiser’s success. “I have a lovely and generous group of friends and the urgency people feel.”
