Journey founder and guitarist Neal Schon has not officially commented on last week's firing of bassist Ross Valory and drummerSteve Smith, following their attempt to gain control of the band's name. However, he is making his thoughts known on social media.
Among his comments are: "We together are going to reshape the mother ship and bring you something special."
"The writing team [of Jonathan Cain and myself] is intact and will bring you new music soon."
No word yet on who Journey will hire to replace Valory and Smith for their tour this summer with The Pretenders. (S&T Bank Music Park: July 11th)
Neal is also working on a solo album with producer Narada Michael Walden that's titled Universe and will be out "later this year."
