Free-agent wide receiver Antonio Brown made news this past weekend when he pretty much announced his retirement from the NFL in a tweet storm of epic proportions.
This all comes after Brown was released by the New England Patriots following multiple allegations of both sexual assault and sexual harassment.
Despite this, Brown’s agent Drew Rosenhaus noted that the receiver still wants to play and has received interest from multiple NFL teams.
Brown has now all but confirmed that this simple seven-word tweet:
“I’m still the best why stop now.”
Brown might want to return to the gridiron, but it’s going to be hard for any team to justify signing him with these allegations unsettled.
Remember, he was released by the Patriots just two short weeks after the Oakland Raiders moved on from the talented pass catcher.
- While Brown won’t face a criminal investigation in at least two of the allegations, his threatening text messages directed at one of his reported victims is more than damning.
