Sandcastle is building a new six-story, looping, free-fall body slide that will be the first major new attraction at the West Homestead water park since 2013. The new slide, called Bombs Away, will open early next summer, according to Patch.com
On Bombs Away, riders will step into an enclosed capsule while the countdown to the ride begins. The floor then will drop open, and riders will plummet down a flat-line loop at 26 feet per second before slowing in the runout below.
