OUTSIDE LANDS FESTIVAL: To Be First Major Festival Selling Marijuana

Paul Simon is one of the artists headlining San Francisco’s Outside Lands Festival this weekend, and it turns out concertgoers may be able to enjoy more than just music at the event. 

The festival, taking place at Golden Gate Park, just announced that for the first time ever there will cannabis sales at the concert, as well as designated smoking area on site.

Concertgoers will be able to buy up to seven grams of pot from vendors who are a part of the concert’s Grass Lands area, which has been around since last year. The Grass Lands Area, the only place where ganga can be consumed on site, will also feature cannabis-themed demos, tastings and more. Folks must be 21 to enter the area. 

The festival is set to kick off today, with Simon headlining the closing night on Sunday. Other performers on the bill include Childish Gambino, Blink-182, twenty one pilots, Kacey Musgraves, Flume,and Lil Wayneand more.Click here for the complete lineup.
