The Internet has been all atwitter about the reports of " a huge star set to make a comeback by taking over late night" this week. And while everyone was naming pop female pop stars as "likely," what they got was even better: legendary anchorman: Ron Burgundy!
Will Ferrell’s iconic “Anchorman” character made a surprise appearance on the small screen across multiple networks to take over all of late night last night - we're talking ABC's “Jimmy Kimmel Live!,” NBC's “The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon,” and“Late Night with Seth Meyers,” CBS' “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” AND “The Late Late Show with James Corden”...even "Conan" over on TBS.
Not surprisingly, the legendary broadcaster got a standing ovation as he appeared from the wings to deliver his monologuesand even made his stand-up debut. His small-screen invasion comes just in time...since he just launched the second season of “The Ron Burgundy Podcast.” Check out some clips of his late night takeover to the right and check out the latest edition of the podcast HERE.
ONE MORE THING! Needless to say, fans were as thrilled as they were surprised to see Burgundy and his iconic ‘do and ‘stache on TV. I mean, he even appeared on three shows at the same time at one point!
