Berlin have reunited for their first album in 35 years.
Vocalist Terri Nunn tells Billboard that Transcendance, which they'll back with summer tour dates withT he B-52s, has been in the works for 15 years.
Nunn joined co-founders John Crawford and David Diamond on a VH1Bands Reunited episode in 2004. Since then, Crawford went through a divorce and Diamond split from his partner. Nunn says, "It was just an upheaval for both of them and we reached out to each other and it was really a reconnection." Spending time together as friends laid the groundwork for the band's new music.
Berlin's first show with The B-52s is August 3rd at Embarcadero Marina Park South in San Diego; their last is on September 24th at New York's Central Park Summer Stage.
