QUEEN: How About a Live Aid for Climate Change?

Brian May of Queen supports the idea of another large concert to tackle climate change like Live Earth did in 2007.

May tells the Daily Mirror that instead of someone like Live Aid co-organizer Bob Geldof, a younger group of musicians would have to spearhead it to make it successful. He says, “It probably would take the younger generation to take that bull by the horns. We’d help in any way we can but I think that’s what it would require."

May adds that a climate changed-focused gig the size of Live Aid or even bigger might not be enough to get people to pay attention to the warnings of scientists. "People have seen so many concerts since Live Aid purporting to be solving the problems of the world, so it’s not quite as easy as it seems.”
