Peter Frampton will release a blues album ahead of his farewell tour.
All Blues is billed to The Peter Frampton Band and will be out June 7th. Frampton and company recorded the album live in the studio and were joined on a few songs by guitarists Larry Carlton, Sonny Landreth and Steve Morse.
And ex-Fabulous Thunderbirds singer-harmonica player Kim Wilson guests on the single "I Just Want to Make Love to You."
Frampton credits another guitar player for the inspiration to record a blues album. He says, "For the last two summers I had been playing a handful of blues numbers every night on stage with Steve Miller Band. I enjoyed this immensely and it gave me the idea of doing an 'All Blues' album live in the studio with my band."
Frampton's farewell tour starts June 18th in Catoosa, Oklahoma. He'll be here in Pittsburgh for a show at the Benedum on July 2nd. Click HERE for ticket info!
