You know Chrissie Hyndeas a rocker, but now she’s dipping her toe into another musical genre.The Pretenders singer has announced a jazz covers album, “Valve Bone Woe.” The record features covers of a variety of songwriters, including Frank Sinatra, Nick Drake, Charles Mingus, Brian Wilson, John Coltrane, and more.
Ahead of the release, Hynde will perform the new album with a full orchestra at a special concert at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, California on July 6th. Tickets for that go on sale on May 5th HERE.
“Valve Bone Woe” drops on September 6th and can be pre-ordered HERE. Fans are getting a preview with Hynde’s covers of “Caroline, No” by The Beach Boys and the jazz standard “You Don’t Know What Love Is.”
