It’s been a year since ABBA announced they had recorded two new songs for a planned “Virtual ABBA” special, but fans are still anxiously waiting. Well, now there may be some good news on that front.
In a recent interview, Bjorn Ulvaeus shares that one of the songs will finally be released in either “September or October.” He didn’t say which song, “I Still Have Faith In You” or “Don’t Shut Me Down,” would be the first to come out.
“Virtual ABBA,” from creator Simon Fuller, was first announced in 2016 and supposed to feature digital members the group. Ulvaeus explained the delay to Denmark’s “Ekstra Bladettabloid” sharing “it takes an extremely long time” to create the digital avatars, noting, “it has been delayed for too long.”
