A conservative group calling itself One Million Moms is launching a petition drive against what it calls a tasteless Kit Kat advertisement.
The 2018 ad is a 15-second spot that features Missy Elliott's song, "Work It." It includes a line that references part of the male anatomy, but instead of using the word it is replaced with an elephant blowing its trunk.
The petition drive began this week and has more than 85-hundred signatures. It points out that not once is Kit Kat audibly mentioned in the ad geared towards kids. The group claims the song is about sex and fear that children tend to repeat what they hear.
Kit Kat parent company Nestle hasn’t commented.
