Seems like Steeler Antonio Brown picked up in January where he left off in December—fighting with his partner.
Because after his season ended in December with him being benched for the final game of the season, after throwing a football at the head of "work wife" Ben Roethlisberger in practice, it turns out he spent January kinda doing the same thing.
At least according to Florida law enforcement.
TMZ reports that a woman contacted the Hollywood Police Department in mid-January and accused Brown of misconduct. No details of her account are known, but a department representative confirmed that Brown was not arrested after police investigated the complaint.
“Mr. Brown was involved in a domestic dispute . No arrests were made,” the representative said.
The Steelers gave the standard response saying the team was “made aware earlier today of the alleged incident involving ” and that they “have no further comment at this time.”
But Browns’ agent had something to say calling the allegations-- “baseless and false . ”
“It’s unfortunate that the media is trying to use distractions like this and prior stories in an effort to tarnish my client’s name and reputation. We have no further comment,” his lawyer added.
If you recall, Brown was sued last year for allegedly throwing furniture off the balcony of a 14th floor apartment and nearly hitting a child and his grandfather. Brown called those false claims , but there’s been no word of the suit being dropped or dismissed at this point.
Hey, I know what team he should sign with next year.
A team of therapists.
