STEELERS: The Latest News on James Conner & Le'Veon Bell

You would think that with the latest news coming over the weekend that Le’Veon Bell will not play at all this seasonthat Steelers running back James Conner is sure to start the rest of the season.

And you’d be right if it weren’t for the fact that, just one day before the Bell story hit, Connor hit something too.

His head.

Yeah, you may not have noticed with all of those points being scored against the Panthers but Connor left Thursday night’s win with a head injury.

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin announced after the game that Conner has been placed in the NFL’s concussion protocol.

The good news is that Conner has the extra time to get his head right after playing on Thursday.

And even if he isn’t ready, I think it’s safe to say the Raiders would need to get their head examined if they brought back Bell who would not be worth the nearly 900K a game.

All he would ring to the Steelers at this point is distraction.

The team would be far better off with back-ups Stevan Ridley and Jaylen Samuels.

And much happier too.
