Good news Steelers fans…
Ahh, who am I kidding, at this point you could probably care less about Le’Veon Bell considering his back up, James Connor, has put up as many big numbers as Bell has headaches over the past two months.
But if you are still following the “El Bell” saga, he reportedly has confirmed—albeit by unorthodox means—he will indeed end his holdout by reporting to the Pittsburgh Steelers next Monday.
The news comes via Twitter courtesy of all people Miami Marlins beat writer Jonathan Skurowitz who tweeted a pic of himself and Bell with the following caption:
If this is to be believed, it goes against the previous story this week, which would have given him the team’s Week 7 bye to get back up to speed ahead of a Week 8 showdown with the Cleveland Browns. It also would have allowed Bell to not have to forfeit yet another $855K game check.
However, the running back was a no-show at the team’s facility, and reports later appeared to confirm the Steelers had no expectations he would report this week.
Of course, the only thing we have learned from Bell over the past two months is to expect the unexpected.
