James Conner ran for 111-yards and a pair of touchdowns on the eve of Le’Veon Bell’s possible return but it was this late play by Antonio Brown—turning a short pass into a 31-yard touchdown—and putting an end to the Bengals short-lived late lead as the Steelers pulled off another improbable comeback in Cincinnati, beating the Bengals 28-21 on Sunday.
The Bengals had trailed most of the second half until Joe Mixon’s 4-yard touchdown run with just 1:18 left put the Bengals back on top 21-20 and put the thought in their head that they may finally end their seven game losing streak to their AFC North rivals.
But just 68 seconds later, Ben Roethlisberger and the AB stunned them again as Brown caught a short pass and outran the secondary for the winning score, leaving thousands of Steelers fans twirling their towels in the stands.
The Steelers are 16-2 at Paul Brown Stadium during Marvin Lewis’ 16 seasons as Bengals coach—and yeah—those extra two games are both Playoff wins by the Steelers.
Hey, there’s always next year for Marvin.
Or is there???
Actually, who are we kidding? Sixteen seasons without a playoff win and they keep bringing him back.
Why wouldn’t Lewis be back next season.
