MICK FLEETWOOD: Discusses Buckingham's Departure

Mick Fleetwood has opened up about Lindsey Buckingham’s split from Fleetwood Mac in an interview leading up to the band’s North American tour.

The upcoming tour will feature Fleetwood Mac’s new lineup, minus Buckingham of course. Fleetwood says that the band wishes him well, though he hopes to avoid the awkward situation of Buckingham’s tour destinations coinciding with their own. “Obviously this is a huge change with the advent of Lindsey Buckingham not being a part of Fleetwood Mac. In truthful language, we just weren’t happy. And I’ll leave it at that in terms of the dynamic,” he says.

He also touched on a personal hobby of his — photography. He says that he has a lot of respect for rock photographers, adding that he hopes to pry some old Fleetwood Mac photos from John McVie. He has also just teamed up with the Morrison Hotel Gallery to curate an exhibition of some of his favorite music photographs.
