The first trailer for the upcoming Whitney Houston documentary has just been released and in it she shares some not-so-nice thoughts about Paula Abdul’s singing talent.
The doc, “Whitney,” just premiered at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival, and the trailer features archival footage of the singer, and hints that the film will explore her addiction problems, her troubled relationship with Bobby Brown, as well as her relationship with her mother Cissy Houston, and best friend Robin.
The clip also reveals that Whitney didn’t think too much of Paula. “Paula Abdul ain't sh*t," she says. "That girl is singing off-key on the record."
Meanwhile, reports following the movie's Cannes screening say the flick suggests Whitney was sexually abused as a child by her cousin Dee Dee Warwick, sister of singer Dionne Warwick. In the film, two friends discuss the abuse, as does Whit's half-brother, former NBA point guardGary Garland-Houston, who says both he and Houston were molested.
‘Whitney” hits theaters July 6th.
