If what Pam Dawber says is true, working with Robin Williams on “Mork & Mindy” was what sexual harassment nightmares look like. New York Times journalist Dave Itzkoff interviewed her for his new book, “Robin.” While it won’t be released until May15th, The Daily Mail recently shared an excerpt.
Pam said that Robin was a nice person who had a gigantic heart, adding, “I really loved Robin and Robin really loved me. We just clicked.” But working with him was insane. “I had the grossest things done to me by him,” she explained. “I was flashed, humped, bumped, grabbed…and I never took offense.”
“Somehow [Robin] had that magic. If you put on paper, you would be appalled,” Pam went on. “But somehow he had this guileless little thing that he would do – those sparkly eyes. He’d look at you, really playful, like a puppy, all of a sudden. And then he’d grab your [breasts] and then run away. And somehow he could get away with it. It was the '70s, after all.”
