AUSTIN, TEXAS: Bombings Suspect Is Dead After Police Confrontation

The suspect in a string of package bombings in Texas is dead.

Austin Police officers and FBI agents reportedly moved in to arrest the suspect at a location just north of Austin. They say he tried to run on I-35 in Round Rock and eventually blew himself up. The highway is closed while officials from several law enforcement agencies continue their investigation and gather evidence from the scene.

Authorities worked fast and tracked down the suspect by using surveillance video from a FedEx store in Austin. Two people were killed and four were injured in the five bombings that began early this month.
