STEELERS: Woman Assaulted Over Radio Volume During Steelers Game

You know how I keep telling you that preseason games don’t matter and all they do is lead to unnecessary injury?

Well, apparently, I’m only half right when it comes to one family here in Pittsburgh.

Because apparently the preseason game Sunday afternoon between the Steelers & th Falcons got a little hairy – or lack thereof – for one crazed "Stiller-Crazy" family.

Delores M. Amorino, and granddaughter Sarah M. Amorino are both charged with aggravated assault, criminal conspiracy, strangulation, terroristic threats, false imprisonment, simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief after allegedly beating and shaving the head of 77-year-old Sarah’s mother—over the volume of her radio.

According to the “Trib” the victim spent one night in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and has been released. The incident began Sunday, and the volume of the Steelers broadcast was the trigger.

“The victim was unhappy with the volume of the TV after the defendants turned the volume low, so the victim locked herself in the bedroom and turned on her radio,” trooper Ty Smith said in an statement. “The defendants broke the door jam, entered the victim’s room saying, ‘You don’t need to listen to the game,’ and began abusing her. Sarah Amorino shaved the victim’s head using scissors and a shaver … also choked the victim using her bare hands, injuring the victim’s neck.”

Both women are being held on $200,000 bond each.

Jeez…can you imagine what would have happened it the Steelers were Super Bowl?
