PENS: Just Two Games Away from Another Stanley Cup

The Pens and Nashville matched goals in the opening period and then in the second their goalies matched each other for perfection—but when the third period began…

Well...that’s when the Penguins took a match and caught fire—scoring three goals in the opening three minutes of the final period.

First, it was rookie forward and 8-Year-Old Macaulay Culkin look-alike Jake Guentzel continued his torrid postseason pace, scoring ten seconds into the period for his second goal of the game.

Then three minutes later, it was Scott Wilson and Evgeni Malkin scoring 15 seconds apart in the third at PPG Paints Arena.

Funny thing is, the game actually seemed to mimic Monday night’s game 1 as the Pens scored in a three-goal flurry and were completely shut down at shut shown by the Predators for long periods.

And the both ended the same, with decisive Penguin goals in the final period.

Now, the Pens are just two games away from Back-to-Back Stanley Cup Championships!
