Someone at ABC-TV had the brilliant idea to remake Dirty Dancing, the hit 1987 film, into a three-hour filmed musical event. They aimed to add a new perspective by giving the characters more depth and delving deeper into social issues, such as race, women's rights and economic division.
Despite those lofty goals -- or maybe because of them -- the movie was savaged on Twitter. (Just Jared)
