MARTAVIS BRYANT: Will Play, But What Are the Conditions?

How good is the Steelers offense?

Um… so good that between Ben Roethlisberger, Le’Veon Bell, and Antonio Brown, you probably forgot they did all of that scoring the last season without their number two receiver, Martavis Bryant.

That’s because Bryant missed all of last season—and four games the previous one—due to multiple substance abuse violations. But in the 21 games he did play, he proved one of the NFL's most potent deep threats with 14 receiving and one rushing touchdown.

Well, good news Steelers fans – Bryant has been 'conditionally' reinstated to the NFL and can now join the team at its training facility and participate in preseason "meetings, conditioning work and similar activities."

So, what are the conditions?

Well one stipulation is that Bryant won't be able to practice until he secures a counselor in Pittsburgh, and another is frequent drug testing.

So all he has to do is keep on the straight and narrow and he’ll be ready to go come September.

And that should make Bryant the second happiest receiver in Pittsburgh.

The happiest of course will be Antonio Brown considering he now has a legit number two receiver in Bryant—unlike their number two by default last season, Darrius Heyward-Bey, who drops as many balls as he catches.
