OSCARS: PwC Accountant Told No Tweeting During Oscars

Brian Cullinan – a partner at PriceWaterhouseCoopers  accounting firm – appeared to be shouldering blame for the biggest  Oscar snafu in history. It seems he was too busy posting pictures to pay attention to what he was doing.

Thing is? It's being reported that Brian was specifically told NOT to use social media  during the Academy Awards. A source said, “He was fine to tweet before  he arrived at the red carpet, but once he was under the auspices of the  Oscar night job, that was to be his only focus.”

The question on everyone’s mind now is whether PwC will be invited back again, or if this is the end of the road.  “The Academy has launched a full-scale review of its relationship with  PwC but it is very complicated,” an insider said. “It is too early to  say how this will play out but everyone is of course taking it very,  very seriously.” We’ll keep you posted…
