Mary Tyler Moore died Wednesday at age 80. Here's how friends and fans are reacting.

Ed Asner, who co-starred on The Mary Tyler Moore Show: “#MaryTylerMoore my heart goes out to you and your family. Know that I love you and believe in your strength.”

Robert Redford, who directed Moore in the 1980 movie Ordinary People: "Mary's energy, spirit and talent created a new bright spot in the television landscape and she will be very much missed. The courage she displayed in taking on a role darker than anything she had ever done was brave and enormously powerful."

The Dick Van Dyke Show creator Carl Reiner tells Variety: “She was grace personified. She could never take a wrong step. The fact that she started out as a dancer was indicative of everything she did after that. Her grace was unmistakable. I saw it the first time she walked into my office.”

Betty White, who co-starred on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, has reportedly refused to do any interviews at this time, as a rep says she's "too upset" over her friend's death.
