Third Eye Blind is one of many bands that's opted to play drive-in concerts since the pandemic hit. On Friday, they opened their socially distanced show in Del Mar, California, with a cover of Van Halen's "Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love" to honor the late Eddie Van Halen. 3EB's version of the 1978 hit stayed true to the original and was a song the band often played during soundchecks. "The mischief, the brilliance, and the bright spark of excitement and danger that happened when EVH had a guitar in his hands was a miracle that thrilled all of us," they wrote on Instagram after his death. "We loved playing Ain't Talkin Bout Love at sound check just to visit a bit of his glory. The world will be a little less bright without him."
