Looks like a tribble! Or some sorta woodland mammal - but it's a Southern Flannel Wood Moth Caterpillar. And it's venomous! From 24/7 News Source:
(Undated) -- A little hair-covered caterpillar has been spotted in eastern Virginia and officials are telling residents to steer clear. The Virginia Department of Forestry says there were sightings of the puss caterpillar in "parks or near structures." The department says the caterpillars shaggy feature hide toxic bristles. They're known to be the most poisonous caterpillars in the country and the University of Michigan reports anyone who gets into contact with one can suffer from a number symptoms, including an itchy rash, vomiting and fever.
