The NHL has announced a plan to continue the 2019-20 season with a 24-team Stanley Cup Playoff. Games to be played at two 'hub' arenas, yet to be determined, but PPG Paints Arena is in the running.
The tournament will begin with a 16-team, eight-series Qualifying Round and a Seeding Round Robin among the top four teams in each conference to determine seeds for the First Round.
The Penguins are to face The Canadiens, but a date has not been set.
