Ozzy Osbourne is a medical marvel, given the amount of drugs and alcohol he's ingested over the years. And it turns out that the reason he's still with us is that he's actually a mutant.
Back in 2010, researchers in Massachusetts used a sample of Ozzy's blood to map out his genetic code in an effort to out how he'd survived that long. What they discovered is a never-before-seen mutation and several genetic variations that predisposed him to drug and alcohol dependencies.
Now Indiana University School of Medicine Professor Bill Sullivan backs this up in his book Pleased to Meet Me: Genes, Germs and the Curious Forces That Make Us Who We Are. He writes, "Ozzy is indeed a genetic mutant."
