ROLLING STONES: Rock Hall Exhibit Details

Posted May 8th, 2013 @ 6:03pm

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum has revealed the details of its Rolling Stones: 50 Years of Satisfaction exhibit. Opening on May 24th and spread over more than two floors, it includes:

• Mick Jagger’s Steel Wheels green leather jacket, circa 1989

• Mick’s grammar school class photograph

• Keith Richards’s Rosewood Fender Telecaster

• Charlie Watts’s mariachi shirt, circa 1975

Ronnie Wood’s Zemaitis guitar circa 1978

• Brian Jones’s custom Vox teardrop guitar

The companion exhibit at the Museum’s Library and Archives will focus on the Stones’ tour production from 1975 to 1981. Highlights include a set list, photographs, stage drawings, fabric samples, lighting cues and more. Also featured are handwritten notes by Rolling Stones Records executive Art Collins, who toured with the band between 1977-1982. The notes were used to help determine which of their 1981 performances would be included in the live concert film Let’s Spend the Night Together.

The Museum will also launch a fan-generated interactive exhibition on Monday, in which you can share your photos of memorabilia, artwork, Stones concerts and more. Upload your original images to Twitter and Instagram with the hashtag #rockhallsatisfaction to contribute to the submission feed. Images uploaded will be available to be viewed in the exhibit as well as online through the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum's Facebook page throughout the duration of the exhibit.

The exhibit will close in March 2014.
