Cher says it was "scary" performing on Tuesday night's season finale of The Voice. It was her first time she'd sang on TV in five years -- when she joined with Tina Turner on an episode of Oprah. With her new album Closer to the Truth, featuring the single "Woman's World," dropping September 24th, she tells Billboard there could be a tour to promote it. After "wincing... hemming and hawing," Cher admits "We're talking about it."
Cher describes Closer to the Truth as "very eclectic." The album includes a song written by Pink, four songs from Mark Taylorwho produced her late '90s Believe album and "a beautiful country song and a song a friend of mine and I wrote for [the movie]Interview with a Vampire that got turned down."
She admits he hasn't got a clue to explain her durability as an artist. The Associated Press quotes her saying, "I believe that luck has a lot to do with it. There are lots of people who are more talented or whatever, but somehow this has been my path. So this is what I'm doing."
