Eli Wallach, a veteran of stage, screen and television for more than 60 years, has died.  The "New York Times" quotes Wallach's daughter Katherine, who says the actor passed away yesterday at the age of 98.

A multifaceted actor, Wallach's long list of acting credits include the movies, "The Magnificent Seven," "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly," "The Misfits" and "The Godfather: Part III."  Wallach was never nominated for an Academy Award but was presented with an honorary Oscar in 2010 just a month before his 95th birthday.  He won a Tony Award in 1951 for his role in Tennessee Williams' "The Rose Tattoo."
