Ringo Starr Says Paul McCartney Plays on His New Album

Ringo Starr says he and Paul McCartney remain close friends after all these years and get together whenever they're able.

So when McCartney was in Los Angeles during the recording of Starr's upcoming album, Give More Love, due out September 15, putting together the collaboration was easy.

"How beautiful he's on my new record," Starr says on the latest episode of Ken Dashow's "Beatles Revolution" podcast. "I had a song, 'Show Me the Way,' and just 'cause [McCartney] was coming it L.A., I said, 'You know, I'm making a record, I've got this track, I'd love it if you played on it.' He said, 'Sure.'"

"People think we don't get on 'cause we're not working or living together. But we're always hanging out...you know, when we can."

Starr also discussed his recent birthday bash in Los Angeles, his relationship with McCartney, the 50-year anniversary of Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and more!
